N T F Petitions Police Over Nkpologu Community Highway.

  Due to the Incessant harassment and extortions by the police on the Nkpologu-Adani highway connecting to Anambra state, the leadership of NKPOLOGU TOWN FORUM (N T F) under Igatta Tochukwu (Marvelous Da Don) has sent a Petition to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Enugu state command, Mr Ebere Amaraizu briefing him on the activities of his Men attached to Adani Division. In the petition, NTF lamented on how the police has harassed and extorted money from innocent motorist and how the same police refused to counter a robbery incident that took the life of a lady on 24th December 2014. In His Reply, the PPRO promise to move into action as our petition has being noted for action. These is coming after some NTF member were harassed by the same team of policemen. We the Concern indigenes of Nkpologu Attah Community in Uzo-uwani LGA; under the aegis of NKPOLOGU TOWN FORUM wish to bring to your humble office the incessant harrasment, Extortions, Crimes and Impunty committed by Men of the Patrol team Attached to Adani Division and Highway Patrol team attached to Nkpologu Police post.

We have undergone so much pains and extortions in the hands of the patrol teams who mounts checkpoints in the community's highway to Adani leading to Anambra state either by asking for non-existing Car particulars or finding a means to instil fear into the victim so as to make him feel guilty, which is against the ethics of the Nigerian Police Force. Every native Motorist plying the route in order to connect to other neigbouring village is mandated to pay between #100 and #200, against which you will be denied passage, delayed for hours thereby prompting some of us to leave our Cars and motorcylces behind during every occassions for fear of the police, whose primary work is to even protect Us. We are Suffering in our own land.

The pepetrators of the crimes and extortions are Patrol teams attached to Adani Division and The federal highway patrol team. (We will send you the Names and Force number of each of the officers involved).

 Last year, Precisely 24 december( christmas eve) a robbery incident occurred in the communities highway which lasted for 3hours,which took the life of a female indigene returning for her Xmas holiday from lagos( she was shot at her village after a long trip from lagos). So sad. The highway patrol team was contacted during the raid, but to our utmost surprise, they told us that they have nothing to do about it. The robber robbed freely without any counter attack. All they are interested is to block the road and extort from us.

Please sir, Use your good Office to help us so as to Prevent the Youth of the. Community who are tired of these evil act, from engaging in an act Capable of Causing chaos in the Community.
